Growth
In the long term, we would like to export our products to other international markets, such as Europe, with long-term partnerships to continue contributing to the preservation of backstrap loom weaving so that it does not die and to generate jobs for young women.
Quality
In terms of quality, we would like to continue training the craftswomen to be in a process of constant improvement of the quality of our products and production techniques. This could also be the creation of new product collections.
In the long term Cojolya also seeks to continue supporting women artisans in the community, expanding the number of collaborations, supporting quality and sustainable production (with the environment, artisans and workers in the production and distribution chain and economically sustainable over time); while maintaining and celebrating the culture, tradition and creativity of the municipality of Santiago de Atitlán.
Impact
In terms of impact, we want to make microcredits available to artisans so that they can improve their living conditions and implement their economic empowerment. We also want to improve our Mano a Mano para el Desarrollo social program to provide more support to women artisans so that they have better access to health care, children's education and the preservation of our culture and the art of backstrap loom weaving.
Training the new generation of young women is also our long term plan, the participation of young women is essential to continue to maintain the culture of the municipality.
