Natün Guatemala works in the Lake Atitlán region of Guatemala to implement community-led programs that address systemic barriers and build cultural strength and resilience. Our work is driven by the expertise of Mayan staff and community leaders towards long-term, meaningful change in the areas of education, nutrition & health, and economic development.

Natün Guatemala, a registered US 501(c)3 organization in the US, works in partnership with our legally-registered Guatemalan partner association (Asociación Natün) to implement our programs on the ground.

Mosan provides feasible and attractive sanitation solutions for greater dignity, safety and hygiene, to reduce environmental pollution and to combat climate change. Mosan implements circular sanitation systems. Families receive the award-winning dry toilet, which works without water, chemicals, and without a drain. They benefit from the container collection service and their transfer to the Mosan processing center, where staff use the pyrolysis process to carbonize the excrement and then produce organic fertilizer for agriculture, making Mosan a climate positive solution!

Founded in 1992, Local Hope (Xela AID Guatemala) provides low- and no-cost health and mental health care and clean water support; intensive support for education including a Montessori Preschool, Educational Scholarships, a Study Center and Adult Literacy Program, and certified COVID-safe Computer Lab; a Leadership Certificate Program, job skills training; and social services included a Special Needs Program for Children and Youth with Disabilities and a budding program for senior support. These programs serve approximately 5000 people annually.
