Planting Seeds is a non profit organization that seeks to eradicate the barriers that contribute to poverty by working with communities to provide high-quality comprehensive education for children and families throughout Guatemala.
People for Guatemala is an all volunteer organization. Its primary function is to raise and collect funds to support the mission in Guatemala.
We focus on the most vulnerable children by supporting them to break the cycle of poverty and leave this world a little better than we found it. Without being an organization with religious purposes, our work and our actions are inspired by the values of the Gospel and the Mayan culture.
Child Aid invests in literacy and education programs because we believe curious kids can change the world. For more than two decades, Child Aid has worked to improve the quality of education in Guatemala’s indigenous communities. From the start, we recognized the link between illiteracy and systemic poverty, and saw the possibility to make a lasting impact in children’s lives through education.
The Association was established in Guatemala in 2006, and works in the Chimaltenango area with a main focus on reducing chronic child malnutrition in rural areas.
The Riecken Foundation promotes a network of innovative community libraries in Honduras and Guatemala that awaken the spirit of discovery and social participation through activities in the libraries. We have shown that community libraries are essential to a democratic society. Libraries are institutions that citizens use to make informed decisions and reach their full potential. They provide essential knowledge, encourage critical thinking, and encourage self-education and lifelong learning.
Partner for Surgery serves with the goal to improve health, empower communities, and overcome barriers. We are on the front lines of medical and surgical care in rural Guatemala focusing on bringing quality health care and surgical solutions to where most impoverished Guatemalans live. Our service model allows us to bridge language, distance, and cultural barriers. And our health promoters, staff, volunteers, and donors all partner to ensure our programs secure the solution each patient needs, from the time we meet them in their communities until we return home with them after surgery.
The M Story was created 2020 in Guatemala when a lot of people were suffering because of the pandemic. We are committed to a better future for the people of Guatemala. This is done with efficient projects in the three areas of food supply, health and education. In this way, we support the most disadvantaged people and respond individually to their current needs. The people to be supported are carefully selected by our team so that every single donation is used in the right place. We are constantly developing new solutions and projects so that the needs can be met in the best possible way.

We are an organization authorized and certified to produce and distribute menstrual hygiene products and services in Guatemala, part of the Days for Girls International organization structure. We have reached more than one million women and girls around the world - giving them back days of dignity, health and opportunity through menstrual health solutions and education.
We have worked with families, communities and orphanages since 2005 to facilitates volunteer trips to serve for 1 week in Guatemala in the Solola area performing services for low income families & communities including building bunkbeds, playgrounds, homes & drilling wells.

Acción Humana NGO was born from the commitment of a group of young entrepreneurs who believe that human beings, through their will, can be responsible and participate in achieving their own goals and objectives, but that in most cases they do not have the economic tools or the opportunities to access educational programs that facilitate the processes of starting ideas, developing skills, acquiring knowledge and much less creating the necessary networking to make their own dreams come true.
We are a civil organization of indigenous women of the Mayan culture, we support and work in solidarity with rural development, promoting the empowerment and autonomy of women in the various areas of their daily lives.
Since 2009, LWH has nurtured an education ecosystem, connecting green construction, formal education, equitable international volunteerism, and active participation in 21st century problem-solving. Over the last decade, the LWH builders, staff, volunteers, and donors have transformed 550 tons of trash into a fully functioning K-11 school. In 2019, 77 K-6 students, 51 grade 7-11 students, 27 Teachers/Directors, and 9 builders were direct beneficiaries of CETC employment and education.
