Peronia Adolescente is an association legally constituted in 2004, working for a fairer reality for Guatemala. It facilitates spaces of integral formation, using games, art and alternative sports, promoting leadership and volunteering of adolescents and young people of scarce resources who are vulnerable in Ciudad Peronia.
TECHO is an organization present in 19 Latin American countries, which seeks to overcome the situation of poverty that millions of people live in overcrowded and under resourced settlements, through the joint action of its inhabitants and volunteers.
Acción Humana NGO was born from the commitment of a group of young entrepreneurs who believe that human beings, through their will, can be responsible and participate in achieving their own goals and objectives, but that in most cases they do not have the economic tools or the opportunities to access educational programs that facilitate the processes of starting ideas, developing skills, acquiring knowledge and much less creating the necessary networking to make their own dreams come true.
Asociación Pop No'j is a non-profit, non-partisan civil organization that works with a focus on Indigenous Peoples. We promote reflection, analysis, research, exchange and learning. We facilitate and accompany processes of organization, training, promotion and participation of the Mayan People for the construction of "good living" in Guatemala. We were founded in June 2005. We have the following programs: Women, Youth and Migration. The work is supported by the Communication Unit and the Administration Department.
ADUS is a non-profit, humanitarian-minded, altruistic, and mostly youth organization.
CEIPA, the Ecumenical Center for Pastoral Integration, is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 as an extension of the San Marcos Episcopal Church. Directed by Reverend Ricardo García, it focuses on improving the conditions of working children and adolescents in Quetzaltenango. Initially, it guaranteed education, health and nutrition through programs such as street education and medical care. Beginning in 1991, it expanded its work with technical training and promotion of rights through media and public activities. Since 1996, it expanded to additional municipalities.
Founded by Guatemalan film director Jayro Bustamante, Fundación Ixcanul was born in 2018 with the mission of activating social transformation and the defense of human rights through bold, plural and committed cinema and the strengthening of the film industry in Guatemala and the region.
Our cinema and our actions and programs are based on a clear vision: cinema, in addition to being a space for enjoyment and creation, is a powerful means to transform the lives of people and societies.
