We focus on the most vulnerable children by supporting them to break the cycle of poverty and leave this world a little better than we found it. Without being an organization with religious purposes, our work and our actions are inspired by the values ​​of the Gospel and the Mayan culture.

The Riecken Foundation promotes a network of innovative community libraries in Honduras and Guatemala that awaken the spirit of discovery and social participation through activities in the libraries. We have shown that community libraries are essential to a democratic society. Libraries are institutions that citizens use to make informed decisions and reach their full potential. They provide essential knowledge, encourage critical thinking, and encourage self-education and lifelong learning.

Contour Lines plants agroforestry projects in mayan villages in the jungles surrounding Livingston, Izabal. We have over 70 sites to date, planting over 5k fruit trees and 20k legume support trees. We believe in hard work and leading by example, not merely preaching, so we directly fund, design and plant these projects, while training locals to plant even more.

Vida is an apolitical and non-profit organization that fights discrimination and defends the fundamental rights of people. We believe that a more inclusive society can be built and to achieve this Vida helps to improve the quality of life of people in our community, facilitating access to services such as education, health and nutrition.

ACD Guatemala (Asociación para la creatividad y el desarrollo de Guatemala) is a non-profit organization operating in Western Guatemala. Our mission is to serve children and families exposed to vulnerable conditions, violence and irregular migration in rural and complex areas of Guatemala. Our headquarters are located in Quetzaltenango.

We focus on education, development, medical and spiritual care, helping children and adolescents engage in life purpose, healthy relationships and participation to experience community growth.

Lan Vwa began when our founder went to Haiti to help deliver aid after an earthquake and became involved in educational efforts. Our name translates to “the voice” in Haitian Creole, reflecting our efforts to return what poverty has stolen from citizens of developing areas - their voice. As Lan Vwa grew, successful programs have been implemented in Haiti and Guatemala. By connecting communities to educational access and tools, we hope to continue empowering our students to fulfill their dreams and potential.
