Asociación Alas de Guatemala (WINGS Guatemala) is a non-profit organization that provides quality reproductive health education and services to underserved, primarily rural Guatemalan youth, women, and men.

Friendship Bridge’s history began with its work in Vietnam providing medical education and shipping medical supplies to impoverished populations in war-ravaged areas. While medical supplies were positively impacting the lives of recipients, Friendship Bridge was looking for a more sustainable solution to poverty reduction — the solution was microcredit. In 1994, we shifted our focus from medical supplies to microcredit and began offering small loans to impoverished women.
Creamos was initiated in 2008 as a social entrepreneurship initiative for 20 women who had historically relied on collecting, recycling, reusing and reselling items scavenged in the garbage dump, in addition to other forms of risky work, to make a living. In the years since, the organization’s offerings have expanded dramatically to include both a robust emotional support program and an accredited adult education program in addition to safe and sustainable income-generating opportunities.
For over 36 years, Potter's House has walked alongside individuals, families and communities living in poverty and extreme poverty to develop long-term relationships and provide opportunities for holistic development through our 5 programs: Family Development, Education, Health and Nutrition, Microenterprise and Community Development.

UPAVIM is a cooperative association of more than 75 members, with more than 70 members working as seamstresses and making handicrafts. UPAVIM also provides employment for women in the community as teachers, administrators, cooks, cleaners, secretaries, accountants, nurses and bakers. Our online store, UPAVIM Crafts is the heart of UPAVIM. UPAVIM Crafts exports beautiful gifts and fair trade crafts around the world and financially supports the Montessori Children's Center and K-6 Montessori School.
Non-profit association, with more than 20 years of work in Guatemala through the Futuro Vivo project, which seeks to provide tools and opportunities for a better future to families in extreme poverty in zone 16 of Guatemala City and in Samac Cobán, Alta Verapaz. Puerta de Esperanza was born in the heart of a Guatemalan woman who saw the need to accompany the lives of working children in a somewhat forgotten sector of the city, the terminal market, where food is plentiful, but not exactly for them.

Guatemala Youth Initiative (GYI) serves the youth in the marginalized communities that surround the landfill in Guatemala City, offering education and services so that they can achieve their goals. GYI offers three programs: comprehensive sexual education, free access to modern contraceptive methods, and empowerment for young mothers.

CVG provides a space for articulation, development and promotion of voluntary activity in Guatemala. We bring together several institutions committed to volunteering, as a service to the communities and the development of the country from their own vocations and resources. Acción Humana NGO was born from the commitment of a group of young entrepreneurs who believe that human beings, through their will, can be responsible and participate in achieving their own goals and objectives, but that in most cases they do not have the economic tools or the opportunities to access educational programs that facilitate the processes of starting ideas, developing skills, acquiring knowledge and much less creating the necessary networking to make their own dreams come true.
Safe Passage works to bring hope, education, and opportunity to the children and families trying to make a living around the city’s garbage dump - one of the largest landfills in Central America.
