Friendship Bridge’s history began with its work in Vietnam providing medical education and shipping medical supplies to impoverished populations in war-ravaged areas. While medical supplies were positively impacting the lives of recipients, Friendship Bridge was looking for a more sustainable solution to poverty reduction — the solution was microcredit. In 1994, we shifted our focus from medical supplies to microcredit and began offering small loans to impoverished women.

CuéntaNos is an interactive platform that contributes to empowerment through access to information on different types of direct care provided by different governmental and civil society entities that make up a network. People in need of care can make decisions and obtain support tools. We contribute to the emotional recovery of people in crisis, through psychosocial care via chat.
We are an Association of returnees, migrants who returned to Guatemala after living in the United States for more than twenty years, who organized ourselves and took the steps to form the Association of Guatemalan Returnees (ARG, NGO), with the objective of providing personalized and humanitarian primary care to returned migrants, on arrival and post-arrival in Guatemala.
