Fundación Defensores de la Naturaleza is a Guatemalan organization with 39 years of experience. We are responsible for the co-administration of 4 protected areas that represent 5% of the national territory. We work on 5 strategic pillars: Climate Action and Resilience, Natural Areas and Biodiversity, Environmental Education and Awareness, Citizen Advocacy and Internal Organizational Development. We are also part of the Alliance for the Conservation of Pine-Oak Forests in Mesoamerica, in which we actively participate to meet the specific demands of this ecosystem.
