Founded in 1992, Local Hope (Xela AID Guatemala) provides low- and no-cost health and mental health care and clean water support; intensive support for education including a Montessori Preschool, Educational Scholarships, a Study Center and Adult Literacy Program, and certified COVID-safe Computer Lab; a Leadership Certificate Program, job skills training; and social services included a Special Needs Program for Children and Youth with Disabilities and a budding program for senior support. These programs serve approximately 5000 people annually.

We are a non-profit Guatemalan civil organization, created on March 1, 2010 in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, with the purpose of promoting integral community development in rural areas of the country. Fundación Trece Aguas, a non-profit organization that began operations in 2007. Our main purpose is to contribute to improve the living conditions of 24 communities in the municipality of Senahú, Alta Verapaz. TECHO is an organization present in 19 Latin American countries, which seeks to overcome the situation of poverty that millions of people live in overcrowded and under resourced settlements, through the joint action of its inhabitants and volunteers.
Since 2009, LWH has nurtured an education ecosystem, connecting green construction, formal education, equitable international volunteerism, and active participation in 21st century problem-solving. Over the last decade, the LWH builders, staff, volunteers, and donors have transformed 550 tons of trash into a fully functioning K-11 school. In 2019, 77 K-6 students, 51 grade 7-11 students, 27 Teachers/Directors, and 9 builders were direct beneficiaries of CETC employment and education.
