Chajulense Mayan Association (AMACHAJUL) AMACHAJUL is a Guatemalan Mayan Ixil non-profit organization located in Chajul, Guatemala. The Ixil region is a post-conflict community that suffered an ethical cleansing during the 36-year internal armed conflict. Schools were closed for 36 years. Today there is deep poverty and few opportunities for women and girls to break out of the cycle.
Conexión is a local Guatemalan NGO, with a Mesoamerican vision. It is the continuity of ICCO Cooperation in Latin America, gathering all the experience and track record that ICCO has worked in recent years in the region. There is documentation that systematizes and supports this transfer from 2010 to 2020.

The Asociación Nuevo Amanecer de Santiago Atitlán (ANADESA Association) was born as a result of the natural disaster caused by Hurricane Stan in October 2005, which severely hit the communities of Panabaj and Tzanchaj in the municipality of Santiago Atitlán. The Riecken Foundation promotes a network of innovative community libraries in Honduras and Guatemala that awaken the spirit of discovery and social participation through activities in the libraries. Since 2009, LWH has nurtured an education ecosystem, connecting green construction, formal education, equitable international volunteerism, and active participation in 21st century problem-solving. Over the last decade, the LWH builders, staff, volunteers, and donors have transformed 550 tons of trash into a fully functioning K-11 school. The Observatorio de Eco-Educación / Research Foundation for the Innovation of Eco-Education researches, promotes and transforms education for ecological regeneration in Central America. We design and develop environmental and social sustainability and regeneration curricula for use in preK-12 schools and non-formal community organizations in order to promote and expand education practices and pedagogies related to environmental and social well-being and regeneration.
