Atlas is a non-governmental, non-profit, social organization that supports education in rural communities in the department of Sololá.
Child Aid invests in literacy and education programs because we believe curious kids can change the world. For more than two decades, Child Aid has worked to improve the quality of education in Guatemala’s indigenous communities. From the start, we recognized the link between illiteracy and systemic poverty, and saw the possibility to make a lasting impact in children’s lives through education.
The Asociación Nuevo Amanecer de Santiago Atitlán (ANADESA Association) was born as a result of the natural disaster caused by Hurricane Stan in October 2005, which severely hit the communities of Panabaj and Tzanchaj in the municipality of Santiago Atitlán. Currently the Association works in the development and service of rural communities in the municipality of Santiago Atitlán.
Since 1996, Cooperative for Education has been committed to breaking the cycle of poverty in Guatemala through education. Our sustainable textbook, computer, reading, and youth development programs have transformed the lives of more than a quarter million students. We empower rural Guatemalan communities to transform their own quality of education, with a focus on evening the playing field for girls, who are typically excluded from education.

The Observatorio de Eco-Educación / Research Foundation for the Innovation of Eco-Education researches, promotes and transforms education for ecological regeneration in Central America. We design and develop environmental and social sustainability and regeneration curricula for use in preK-12 schools and non-formal community organizations in order to promote and expand education practices and pedagogies related to environmental and social well-being and regeneration.

CEIPA, the Ecumenical Center for Pastoral Integration, is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 as an extension of the San Marcos Episcopal Church. Directed by Reverend Ricardo García, it focuses on improving the conditions of working children and adolescents in Quetzaltenango. Initially, it guaranteed education, health and nutrition through programs such as street education and medical care. Beginning in 1991, it expanded its work with technical training and promotion of rights through media and public activities. Since 1996, it expanded to additional municipalities.

littleGIANTS is a non profit organization, operating in the field of education and community building, that provides the tools to empower children and youth (4-18 years old) from distressed neighborhoods and their communities to unchain their dreams, unleash their potential, thrive and create lasting change in their communities. We achieve this through our integral after school learning experience which explores the uniqueness of each child and develops personal life skills that will lead to social transformation and children will act as agents of change for their communities.
