We seek to manage and provide the affordability of drinking water, seek the decontamination of water and encourage the change of habits and behaviors in people so that they understand and care for the natural resource water.
During the pandemic in rural areas of Guatemala was seen the lack of drinking water being one of the factors that influences a lot in stomach diseases, according to studies of Convergence centers water is a vital resource for communities with high percentage of diseases.
Program that seeks to resolve this situation, all of which coincides with the current approach to health care. In the case of primary health care, it recognizes that health is a right of all people and its work is based on respect for human rights. This same system recognizes that the work must be carried out at different levels (individual, family, community) as does communication for development. In both cases, health and communication. We created and empowered champions of hand washing and purified water, they will teach other women and men and empower themselves with knowledge about purification methods. Therefore, we promote activities in which this program will be implemented through community cleanups and sanitation trains to reduce the proliferation of respiratory and intestinal diseases and the number of deaths. It reduces air, soil and water pollution. It saves energy. The development of human beings in a healthy environment.
We measure the impacts according to the programs that are being worked on in the localities based on their needs. We collect information through self-sustainability by designating a person to be in charge of monitors, in our case we work with community and school authorities.
We look for ways to make all projects self-sustainable both financially and in other aspects.
