Esperanza Juvenil (Boys Hope Girls Hope Guatemala) helps academically motivated children and youth rise above disadvantaged backgrounds and become successful in college and beyond.
To nurture and guide motivated young people in need to become well-educated, career-ready men and women for others.
We believe in opportunity, education and inclusion for every motivated young person.
We provide students with psychological services, and other services through third parties, including: spiritual, medical and health.
As for social service, students do various community services during the year.
We provide two big programs:
- Education through our own school, from 3rd grade to 12th grade
- Residential program, where trained staff cares for students who opt to live in our program facilities in order to attend our school. Our residential program offers students' safety and security, food, water, electricity and other basic services.
We work with children and youth from all over Guatemala. Our program is based in Guatemala City, where the students who live far away come live in. We currently serve students from 17 different departments.
We are focused on the issue of access to education, based on the figures of access to education and poverty by the Instituto Nacional de Estadistica (INE).
We provide support to more than 300 children to access a quality education from primary to diversified. We currently serve 44 students at the elementary level, 52 basic, 29 diversified and 47 students at the university. To date we have 10 college graduates.
We measure our impact through Strategy Planning and KPI's.
