Our programs are based on addressing the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations, specifically Zero Hunger, Quality Education, and Gender Equality. We work on the following programs:
Child Community Kitchen:
This project emerged as an initiative to counter the high levels of malnutrition in our community. Currently, our community kitchen operates from Monday to Thursday and provides 65 nutritious lunches for the enrolled children. Additionally, through this initiative, we aim to go beyond by supplying food boxes to the families of children who suffer from severe malnutrition.
Joyful Faces Afternoon Program:
Our afternoon program is characterized by providing a safe environment for children, considering that the communities they come from are anything but safe. At Joyful Faces, our main objective is to offer a secure refuge where children can develop healthy minds and acquire the necessary tools to overcome their circumstances. We work on emotional and educational stimulation, providing a safe environment as a fundamental basis.
Community Library:
This project offers free educational and technological resources to our community. Our library provides computer classes, 8 computers, over 100 books, and a welcoming space for people of all ages who wish to learn. Currently, we serve 58 students.
Scholarship Program (APARES):
Our scholarship program aims to intervene and provide support to children and adolescents to successfully complete secondary school. We cover all necessary school expenses. Additionally, this project focuses on a training program that helps them overcome the challenges they face in their education and development.
Women on the Path:
In our organization, we are strongly committed to promoting gender equality and fighting against discrimination and violence towards women. Our innovative program implements workshops and psychological therapies to transform perspectives and attitudes in the community, contributing to the construction of a fairer and more equal society for women. In addition to providing essential psychological services to women who have experienced discrimination or gender-based violence, we also offer training to provide them with the minimum skills needed to pursue their independence.
I Support Your Dreams:
Our project provides essential school supplies for 70 students enrolled in our program. This initiative is particularly important because families in our community already face challenging financial situations, and providing school supplies can be a significant burden.
