The mission of Wings Guatemala is to provide education and services for sexual heath and reproduction to young adults and vulnerable women and men, specifically in rural areas.
Our vision is a Guatemala where everyone has and can exercise reproductive rights.
We offer contraceptive products.
We offer services for contraceptive methods and procedures.
We offer youth leadership programs.
Sexual and reproductive health. The high rate of unintended pregnancies, especially in rural women and adolescents, and high rate of cervical cancer cases.
Through our programs we have served more than 315,000 people since 2001. We estimate that we have prevented more than 286,000 unintended pregnancies, 1,614 infant deaths, and 103 maternal deaths.
Using the Marie Stopes International Impact2 tool we estimate the impact based on unintended pregnancies prevented, infant and maternal deaths prevented, unsafe abortions prevented; and with the Couple Year's of Protection index we estimate the # of CYPs provided annually.
