In this event Dr. Rodrigo Barillas, Executive Director of WINGS/Asociación Alas de Guatemala, offers an overview of the reality in Guatemala for many women without access to family planning methodologies and services. Dr. Barillas provides an explanation of the existing need for the services provided by WINGS, their method of service delivery, and details free services it provides to vulnerable populations. And, importantly, how organizations can contact WINGS to request their services in community.

Nilvia González, National Director and Omar Cobox, Program Manager, of Days for Girls Guatemala provide a detailed presentation of the mission of DfG and the link between health in communities and menstrual management. Nilvia and Omar discuss community outreach how to approach the often taboo topic of menstrual education, touching on the importance of connecting to the reality of the communities. They also discuss how they have adapted in order to implement programs during the pandemic.
