Trama Textiles is an association of artisan women backstrap loom weavers in Guatemala. We work directly with 400 women from 17 weaving cooperations across 5 regions in the western highlands of Guatemala; Sololá, Huehuetenango, Sacatepéquez, Quetzaltenango and Quiché.
We are a company with social and environmental impact, dedicated to the conservation of bees and other pollinators, through education, creation of sanctuaries and rescue of colonies.
Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) uses the power of food to heal communities and strengthen economies in times of crisis and beyond. WCK has created a new model for disaster response through its work helping devastated communities recover and establish resilient food systems.
WCK has served more than 40 million meals to people impacted by natural disasters and other crises around the world in countries including The Bahamas, Indonesia, Lebanon, Mozambique, Venezuela, and the United States.
Safe Passage works to bring hope, education, and opportunity to the children and families trying to make a living around the city’s garbage dump - one of the largest landfills in Central America.
